Portrait Of A Lady
by Khushwant Singh
Well what I liked about the story was the authors narrative style, one can actually imagine all what he was saying in the story at every moment, one was able to feel the emotions of both Grand mother and the writer,He used simple but vivid words with a gentle touch of humor in it. What I personally felt was that he was trying to mock on the fact of generation gap, He tried to mock on the schooling system these days and also mocked on the fast pace and complex city life with respect to the simple and serene village life.
Thing about grandmothers that I loved were her nature, her simplicity, her connection with nature
Her rural lifestyle was fascinating and all her ways of living were remarkable
A great man once said people try to get more and more ,but well I strive to get more simple everyday rather than complex.
Thank you
