Great work, Divyank! I hope we all will enjoy this one year journey tremendously :) I would like to reiterate that this forum belongs to all the members of the Reading Club and you are absolutely free to air your opinion (whatever it may be) at this platform .
This blog is yours to define and build as per your likes and dislikes. In short, I would like you to feel, think, have an opinion, discuss that opinion without hesitation and I hope that this forum becomes a place where all of you can be yourselves and also discover more about yourselves.
Just have a great time! :)

mam i was wondering if we could take up some stories from "THE CHICKEN SOUP"series
ReplyDeleteInstead we can actually have some of the short stories by Agatha Christie..........Hercule Poirot or Miss Marple?
ReplyDeleteyaa but we need stories which can be discussed....a mystery story wont have any values and we wont be able to discuss it or debate on it...

ReplyDeleteWe could also have a poetry session once where one would bring his/her own written poems. I also agree with Madhav for having some short stories by Agatha Christie and also i would like to add the name of Ruskin Bond and Roald Dahl as well.
ReplyDeleteI don't think that either Ruskin Bond or Roald Dahl write short stories.........

ReplyDeleteWell, I am going to answer all the above queries in one go here -
ReplyDelete1. Yes, we can take up some excerpts from the Chicken Soup Series. Everyone is welcome to suggest a few.
2. Mystery stories also have things to be discussed. In fact there are entire courses at the university level which are based on detective fiction. I have myself had the privilege of having Agatha Christie's 'The Murder of Roger Ackroyd' in my BA(Hons)syllabus :)
3. And of course Ruskin Bond and Roald Dahl both write short stories. I am currently reading some of Ruskin Bond's stories. I will bring some short story collections by these authors to the class next week and we can choose from them.
4. A poetry session would be so welcome :) What do the others say?
Well anything interesting works for me
ReplyDeletepoetry is most welcomed
